Dreamcatcher is a bluegrass band that is taking the scene by storm. All but one member are students at East Tennessee State University, and are involved with the university's Bluegrass, Old Time, Country, &  Celtic Music Program. The band blends in a youthful energy to the sounds of traditional and contemporary bluegrass!

Welcome, Colin Ray!

Our great friend and previous bandmate, Ben Watlington, has been hired for a full time position at the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show in Pidgeon Forge, TN. Unfortunately, Ben's new schedule will not allow him to continue to travel with Dreamcatcher. With that being said, we are very excited to introduce to you, Colin Ray!

Colin Ray is from Lincolnton, North Carolina. He began playing music at the age of six when he got his first guitar as a Christmas present. At the age of ten he made the switch to banjo under the instruction of Darin Aldridge. He began playing mandolin recently at the age of twenty. At twelve years old, he and other young musicians from the Lincolnton/Cherryville were part of Catawba Valley Music Revival’s “Catawba Valley Music Revival Youth Band” that was instructed by Darin Aldridge. He provided mandolin and vocals for the East Tennessee State University Bluegrass Pride Band and is now the new singer and mandolin player for Dreamcatcher.

Here is Colin singing "Just Any Day Now" with the ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band.
